Frequently Asked Questions:
How do we register for classes each week? We have an app (Android or Apple) that will allow you to book classes each week! Once you sign up, we will send you the link to download and the password to get you started. There are also videos in the app to help navigate.
Do we have to come to the same class each week? One of the best things about our program is the freedom and flexibility! You can attend whichever age-appropriate class during the week, AND If you miss a class, you can easily make it up in another week!
How is American Jiu Jitsu Different than other Martial Arts? Every martial art has its strengths and specialties. Some arts are sports-oriented, artistic, or demonstrative in nature. American Jiu Jitsu specializes in real-world self-defense. We do not train for sport in our style.
How do students earn the next rank?
For our Ninjas, they need to earn 16 stripes (2 of every color). Once they have that we schedule a test for them outside class times!
For our Kids/JR students, we have “stripe testing” also known as Dan Testing. Each rank has set material that students should be learning in class. Once they achieve all the dan tests, then they work on their next belt. It takes new students about 3-4 months to earn a yellow belt. All tests are scheduled outside class times.
Can we Freeze our account? We do offer an option to extend your account if you are going to be away for months at a time.
